On Wednesday, July 21, Dillon High School’s Nehemiah “Nemo” Squire is shown receiving the South Carolina Hall of Fame Bridge Builder Award for 2021 for excellence on and off the football field. The award ceremony took place in Downtown Greenville and made possible in part by the Spinx Corporation.
This is a joint venture between the South Carolina Football Hall of Fame and the South Carolina Department of Commerce. All South Carolina football player are eligible. The award criteria is: football participation 30%, academics with a minimum 3.2 GPA 40%, and exemplary school, character, community citizenship, and leadership 30%.
Nehemiah “Nemo” Squire has a 3.98 overall GPA. He is a member of the National Honor Society. He also serves as a youth leader and works with a ministry that assists the homeless.
He is a running back and is uncommitted at this time although he has 13 offers. On the field, Squire was named a nominee for RB of the Year and is a 2x All Region player. His future plans include receiving a scholarship in athletics and academics. Squire is hoping to study Architectural Engineering.
