The Dillon County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit made an arrest on Saturday on Vanderhall Road, according to Investigator Ryan Bethea.
On January 30, deputies with the Dillon County Narcotics Unit were on Vanderhall Road when they noticed a car parked under the shelter at the county-maintained park after dark.
Deputies stopped to check the vehicle out.
Upon approaching the vehicle, there was an immediate smell of marijuana as well as smoke coming from the car.
This led to a search of the vehicle and the seizure of illegal narcotics, scales, and cash. Michael J. Carmichael was arrested.
Carmichael is charged with Trafficking Heroin (more than 4g but less than 14g), possession with intent to distribute marijuana, and possession with intent to distribute ecstasy.
