Services for Ruth H. Watts was held 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 21, 2020 at Hamer Church of God with entombment in Evergreen Perpetual Care Cemetery Mausoleum directed by Cooper Funeral Home. Visitation was held 1:00-2:00 p.m. Monday prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Watts, 95, passed away Friday, December 18, 2020 at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence.
Born in Dillon County, SC, September 1, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Hillard Weatherford and Bernette Barnhill Weatherford. She was the oldest member of Hamer Church of God, and she retired from Hamer Spinning Mill.
Survivors include her children, Dorothy H. Benson of Dillon, P. Eugene Hardwick, Jr. of Seattle, WA, Larry Hardwick of Hamer, Tracy Watts, Willadean Weatherford, and Lacy Watts (Glenda) all of Dillon, Betty Miller of Latta, and Brenda Simmons of Fairmont, NC; 21 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; special adopted daughter, Becky Brigman Stone (Al) of Mauldin, SC.
Mrs. Watts was preceded in death by her husbands, Pearl E. Hardwick, Sr., and Bill Watts; and her sons, Jerry Hardwick and Tony Watts.
