The American Legion and The American Legion Auxiliary have created a program for rising high school seniors to learn about the American system of government and politics by participating in a mock governmental system. Each year, the best of each class are nominated by high school teachers and counselors. The candidates are then interviewed and selected by the local American Legion and American Legion Auxiliary to represent their high school for a week-long conference at a South Carolina college. However, due to COVID, this year’s delegates did not have the opportunity to attend the annual conference.
