Trinity Collegiate School partnered with Manna House to have a food drive for the holiday season.
During one of the student council meeting this fall, the students discussed the need being felt in the community and called Manna House to see which food items were in need most this year.
Trinity Collegiate Student Council President, Eleanor Farrell, said “the decision to work with Manna House was easy because “they are such a great organization and with the holidays coming up, it’s important for us to remember to take time to give back and help those who need it.”
The Manna House is a non-profit organization founded in 1987 in Florence with a mission to help those in need who are food insecure in the local community.
Trinity Collegiate School Student Council Vice-President, Dylan Odin said “TCS has worked with Manna house before and we know all the good they do for the community. It’s important for those in need to have food all year round, but it’s especially important during the holidays and when people are facing such hard times.”
This is the third drive the school has run this holiday season, they also ran a toy drive for Mission Mart and a food drive through Help 4 Kids.
The TCS Manna Food Drive goes through the 16th of December at which point the TCS student council will take the donated food items to Manna House; just in time for the Holidays.
