Help For Veterans, Inc, has cancelled their Fourth Annual Health Fair due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Hundreds of veterans and numerous vendors have taken part in the health fair over the past three years, which has been held annually at the City of Dillon Wellness Center. Veterans have received free services, free information, a free meal, and door prizes at this event.
“We did not take the decision lightly to cancel this year’s health fair,” said Johnnie Daniels, president of Help For Veterans, Inc., “however, we did not feel with the COVID-19 pandemic that it was worth risking the health and safety of our veterans or our group members to move forward with this year’s event.”
Next year’s event is scheduled tentatively for Thursday, October 21, at the City of Dillon Wellness Center.
“We hope that all of our veterans will come out for next year’s event,” said Daniels. “We will be back and bigger and better than ever.”
