Saturday afternoon, July 25, 2020, Troop 769 and American Legion Post 32 of Dillon presented an Eagle Court of Honor recognizing their newest Eagle Scout.
Will Williams earned the rank of Eagle along with Bronze, Gold and Silver Eagle Palms. Will began his journey to Eagle in Pack 761 as a Tiger Cub Scout earning his way to Cub Scouting’s highest honor, the Arrow of Light. After bridging into Boy Scouts, Will joined Troop 763 and then Troop 769 Will has held virtually every youth leadership position in the troop and was elected to the Order of the Arrow in 2013. Trips to the National Scout Jamboree (West Virginia) and the National Order of the Arrow Conference (Michigan State University and Indiana University) combined with untold numbers of unit outings and canoe expeditions round Will’s youth experience in Scouting.
Nationwide, only about 4 percent of scouts attain the rank of Eagle. Please join Troop 769 and the Pee Dee Area Council in congratulating Will on a truly special accomplishment!
