DILLON – Thomas “Tommy” Wiggins Wallace, 67, passed away at his home on Monday, December 16, 2019, surrounded by his family. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 20, 2019, at 2:00 P.M. at Kannaday Funeral Home Chapel in Dillon with burial to follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 19, 2019, at Kannaday Funeral Home.
Tommy was born in Dillon, South Carolina, on November 6, 1952, the son of the late James Ray and Mary Lois Wiggins Wallace. Mr. Wallace graduated in 1980 from Morehead State University with a bachelor of science degree in animal science. He retired as an agricultural teacher from Dillon School District Four. Tommy also enjoyed being an auctioneer and operator of Tommy Wallace Auction Company. He was a member of Blessed Hope Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon since 2006 and an Adult Sunday School teacher. Mr. Wallace also served his community as a member of Woodmen of the World.
Mr. Wallace is survived by his wife, Jenise Cassada Wallace of the home; sons, Seth Thomas Wallace of Illinois; Caleb Robert Wallace of West Columbia, South Carolina; Kyle Elias Wallace of Dillon, South Carolina; and Ethan Samuel Wallace of Dillon, South Carolina. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Caden Thomas Wallace; Hannah Elizabeth Wallace; Ashlyn Rayne Wallace; Arrie Grace Wallace; and Ariah Rebecca Wallace. He was predeceased by his brothers, James Ray Wallace, junior, and Percy Lafon Wallace; and sisters, Mary Emily Wallace Woodle and Lois Elizabeth Wallace.
