MULLINS – Mary Alice Price McCrea, 72, passed away Thursday, December 12, 2019, at McLeod Hospice House of the Pee Dee. Memorial services will be held Saturday, December 21, 2019, at 11:00 A.M at Beulah Baptist Church with Rev. David Owens and Dr. Christopher H. Daniels officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow in Tisdale Cemetery in Kingstree, SC. Kannaday Funeral Home in Dillon is assisting the family.
Mary Alice was born in Lumberton, NC on December 30, 1946, the daughter of the late John Evan and Elizabeth Herring Price. She was raised near Little Rock, SC where she attended school. She was employed at Tupperware in Hemingway, SC and was a farmer’s wife. Mrs. McCrea was a member of Central Presbyterian Church in Kingstree, SC and after moving back to Dillon, SC attended Beulah Baptist Church. She resided the past few years at the Mullins Nursing Center where she became an avid Bingo Player. She was the widow of Sinnott O. McCrea.
Mrs. McCrea is survived by her son, Allen Ray Daniels (Cynthia) of Nichols, SC; brothers, Evans Price, Jr. of Florence, SC, Tommy Price of Dillon, SC, Chuck Price of Charlotte, NC, Lewis Price of Hamer, SC, Billy Price of Roxboro, NC, and Bobby Price of Dillon, SC; sister, Carolyn Price of Pamplico, SC; grandchildren, Roger Allen Daniels (Danielle) of Lake View, SC, Christopher Horace Daniels (Kelli) of Latta, SC and Daniel Evan Turner (Reagan) of Marion, SC; great-grandchild, Tony Allen Daniels; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Georgia Anne Daniels Turner; two husbands; and a special friend, Harry B. Parnell.
