An open house was held on December 6th to introduce the public to the new voting machines that will be in use in all precincts next year.
Latta voters were the first to use the machines in their municipal election on December 3rd, but the rest of the county has yet to use the machines.
Members of the public were able to come in, learn about the machines, do a mock vote, and cast their ballots.
The Dillon County Voter Registration Office wanted those who attended to see how easy the machines are to use.
They also had delicious refreshments available for those who attended.
