Harbor Freight Tools and Help For Veterans, Inc. teamed up this Thanksgiving to make the holiday a happy one for those who served in our military and are in need of help.
Help For Veterans, Inc., is a local group seeking to help veterans in Dillon County with their needs such as food, healthcare, and other situations. Harbor Freight Tools is one of Dillon County’s leading industries and is known as an outstanding community partner.
A Harbor Freight Tools representative contacted the veterans group to see how they could assist veterans this Thanksgiving.
Twenty-seven veterans were selected, and on Monday, the Harbor Freight team of volunteers, equipped in shirts printed for the event, made deliveries to these veterans. Harbor Freight provided a ham, turkey, pie and all the trimmings for a Thanksgiving meal to each veteran while Help for Veterans provided additional bags of groceries to help carry these veterans through the holiday season.
“We are delighted that Harbor Freight Tools chose to work with Help for Veterans in providing these holiday food bags for some of our neediest veterans,” said Johnnie Daniels, president of Help For Veterans, Inc. “Harbor Freight Tools shares our vision of trying to make a real difference in the community.”
