Ronald Laborn Collins, 71, died Friday, October 11, 2019 at his home in Floyd Dale area of Dillon, SC. He was born in Marion, SC and was a son of the late Frank and Betty Collins. He was a longtime resident of Dillon, SC.
He worked at New South Lumber Company for many years, was formerly a truck driver and a certified Industrial electrician.
He was also formerly in the US Army. He loved to be outside and garden, was an avid Atlanta Braves fan and also gifted enough to fix almost anything he put his mind to. He also spent a lot of time with his yellow friend, Buttercup, his garden loving cat.
He was preceded in death by his siblings: Frank Collins, Jr, Mildred Johnson, Betty Jean Woodard, Legrand (Peggy) Collins, and Bill Collins. He was also preceded by his son Jimmy (Lisa) Collins.
He was survived by three of his children: Mark (Joy) Collins of Latta, SC, Joey (Dolly) Price of Marion, SC, and Linda (Marion) Crider of Summerville, SC. He was also blessed with many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was also survived by his three sisters: Jessie Rose Poston, Frankie (Richard) Godbold, and Mary (Jerry) Johnson.
