Despite the rain, the football game went on in Latta, and Latta pulled out a victory against Mullins. Here is a photo gallery from the game by Craig Brown.

The Mullins Auctioneers came to Latta Friday night as the favored to win.
Latta Head Coach Brandon Iseman had the Vikings ready and confused the Mullins defenders by rotating Tray Pelt, Tysean Johnson, Chris McRae and Chandler Matthews taking the snap from center.
The Viking and Auctioneer fans had much to cheer about in this game.
The finish will rank among the most memorable in Latta football history with Chandler Matthews crossing the goal line from four yards out with 23 seconds left on the clock to get the Vikings a hard fought 25-20 win.
The first quarter ended 0-0 as both teams seemed to have trouble with the rain and wet field conditions.
Mullins struck first with quarterback Marcus Chandler hitting Nizail Robinson with a 23 yard touchdown pass. The point after was no good holding the Auctioneer lead to 6-0 with 11:07 left in the second quarter.
With 6:57 left in the second quarter Chandler Matthews got Latta on the board with his first of four touchdowns in the game.
The extra point was blocked leaving the game tied at 6-6. With 27 seconds left in the first half Mathews got TD number two on a three yard keeper run.
The conversion attempt failed but the Vikings had a 12-6 lead going into the halftime break. Mullins returned the opening kickoff of the second half crossing into the Viking end of the field.
Marcus Chandler finished the short drive with eight yard touchdown pass to Alim Legette.
The point after kick was off and the game evened up at 12-12 with 10:13 left in the third quarter. The quarter would end with this score.
Midway in the fourth quarter Mathews picked up TD number three on a five yard run. Patel’s kick put the Vikings up 19-12 with 6:28 left in the fourth quarter.
Mullins came back on its next possession and finished the drive with Chandler scoring on a seven yard run. Alim Legette ran in the two point conversion to give the Auctioneers a 20-19 lead with 4:01 left in the fourth quarter.
With four minutes left in the game the Vikings put together a memorable drive that ended with Matthews getting a four yard touchdown run with 23 seconds left in the game. The kick failed holding the Latta lead to 25-20.
No one left the game early and although a disappointment for the Auctioneers this was a remarkable game for all fans in attendance.
On offense for the Vikings, Tray Pelt was 10 of 13 passing for 95 yards and added 3 yards rushing,
Chris McRae had 120 yards on 20 carries, and Tysean Johnson had 61 yards on 14 carries and was 1 of 2 passing for 27 yards.
Chandler Matthews had 44 yards on 11 carries with four touchdowns and caught a pass for 27 yards.
Alex Strickland caught 3 passes for 40 yards.
Jamario Taylor caught 2 passes for 27 yards, and Jamar Jones caught 3 passes for 13 yards.
On defense, Chandler Mathews had 6 tackles with a QB sack and a fumble recovery. Matt Clark had 6 tackles with a fumble recovery. Brice McRae had 6 tackles.
Josh Williams had 5 tackles with a QB sack and a fumble recovery, Jordan McRae had 5 tackles. Alex Strickland had 4 tackles. Zach Jones and Jashad Smith had 3 tackles each.
Matt Walker, Jamario Taylor, and Tysean Johnson had 2 tackles each. J J McAlister, Dashad Smith, Caleb Bailey, and Gabe Sherman added a tackle each.
