Charles Michael Townsend, 51, died Saturday, July 27, 2019 at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, after an extended illness.
Born in Marion, SC to Joseph T. and Mayola H. Townsend, “Mike” as he was affectionately called, served in the National Guard with the 263rd Battalion and was a skilled carpenter who loved working with wood and building things. He will be missed by family and friends, he is with God.
Survivors include his brothers, Mark Townsend and William (Catherine) Townsend, both of Dillon; sisters, Carolyn Brown of Fayetteville, NC, Lori Cook of Dillon, SC, and Brenda (Danny) Nobles of Lake View, SC; many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents; and brother, Joseph Timothy Townsend.
