John Braddy resigned from the Dillon City Council on Tuesday, according to City Manager Glen Wagner.
Braddy was elected in April 2005. His term will expire in April 2021.
A special election will be held to fill the seat.
During his tenure, Braddy was a huge asset to city council and was instrumental in bringing about the revitalization in the city’s downtown/Main Street area and was a supporter of improving the quality of life for Dillon’s citizens.
