A scam is occurring in Dillon County, according to Chief Deputy Larry Abraham of the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office. Someone is calling citizens telling them that they missed a court date and there is a warrant for their arrest. They are telling citizens that they are a deputy from the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office and using real officers names. They are using a system that show the actual Dillon County Sheriff’s office phone number. “This is just a SCAM to get money. Any SCAM calls should be reported to the local police,” said Chief Abraham.
