Services for Henry James Humphrey will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Piney Grove Baptist Church with burial in Lake View Cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home. Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m. Saturday at Cooper Funeral Home.
Mr. Humphrey, 77, passed away Friday, March 1, 2019 at his residence.
Born in Marion County, SC, March 25, 1941, he was the son of the late A.J. and Hazel Humphrey. He attended Dillon Pentecostal Holiness Church where he was the Sunday School Secretary and Treasurer for many years. He was the former Co-Owner with his wife of Henry’s Flooring, and he served in the South Carolina National Guard Army for six years.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Linda Coward Humphrey of Dillon; sons, Jimmy Humphrey, and Paul (Marie) Humphrey, both of Dillon; granddaughters, Cindy (Chad) Quick, and Taylor (Trevor) Norris; brother, Ralph Humphrey of Lake View; sisters, Carolyn Brumbles of Lake View, and Emily Eller of Columbia, SC; special cousin, Buster Causey; sisters-in-law, Sara Johnson, and Lynn Humphrey.
Mr. Humphrey was preceded in death by his brothers, Marvin Humphrey and Bobby Humphrey; and special cousins, Albert Causey and Dorothy Church.
