That S.O.B. Reptile Expo was held at the South of the Border Convention Center on March 2nd and 3rd.
Various reptiles were available for sale including some exotic and venomous reptiles. There was also a variety of reptile-related items for sale. Some reptiles were less than $20 while some were $1,000 or more.
Shows like this one attract members of the reptile community from across the country because of South Carolina’s laws regarding the sale of venomous reptiles. Some of these reptiles cannot be sold in or have strict laws in other states.
The show was advertised through a website, social media, and billboards.
The show was a sell-out to vendors with 80 tables available for purchase. Vendors advertised included AHP Exotics, American Reptile Distributors- SHOW SPONSOR, Alligator Adventure, Aquatic & Exotic- SHOW SPONSOR, Armstrong Crickets- SHOW SPONSOR, Burning Garage Reptiles, Carter Reptiles, C Serpents Reptiles, Racks & Hot Box Incubators- SHOW SPONSOR, Fat Boy’s Ball Pythons, Fur Feather & Fish, Gecko Ranch, Get Hooked, Hulkers Herps, James Sargent/Miguel Jolliff, MB Exotics, Ophidians Lair, Reptile Passions, Rodent & Wildlife. Royal Reptilia, Scaled Up Exotics, Slither Inc., Taking up Serpents, The Exotic LLC, The Jungle, Under The Canopy, Wild Things, Wreck Room Snakes, and ZooMed.
Those who prepaid for the event received a free SOB Reptile Expo t-shirt.
Don’t worry. If you missed this event, the show will be back on October 26-27. If you are a reptile lover or just curious, you will not want to miss the next show.
