In recent months, the City of Dillon has awarded the Upfit Incentive Grants and Facade Grants in the historic district.
The Upfit Incentive Grant Program provides financial assistance for persons making physical improvements to private property in the Downtown Commercial Historic District.
Two Upfit grants were awarded. The first went to Salley Huggins McIntyre for properties located at 110 and 112 North MacArthur Avenue, Dillon. The other was awarded to Dr. Robert Hooker for property located at 202 West Main Street, Dillon. The council approved up to $15,000 each for both projects.
The City of Dillon Facade Grant Program Agreement provides financial assistance for persons making physical improvements to private properties within the Downtown Commercial Historical District. Initial funding will be a total of $24,000 for the 2018-2019 fiscal year. Grant amounts will be funded at a reimbursement of fifty (50%) up to a maximum of $3,000 reimbursable. Lesser amounts may be requested and reimbursable at fifty (50%). The addresses of properties considered for approval are as follows:

4. Steve Johnson – 104 N. MacArthur Ave, Dillon
5. Stephanie Mitchell – 221 East Main Street, Dillon
6. Joshua/Allen Watts- 121 West Main Street, Dillon
7. Joshua/Allen Watts – 123 West Main Street, Dillon
8. Kwan Jae Lee – 113 West Main Street, Dillon
