On Wednesday, December 12th, Jimmy “Bo” Poston and Lorraine Howard presented “The Christmas Story” with music and Scripture.
They had classical, gospel, familiar, and new songs. Lorraine Howard had several songs she had composed especially for the Christmas season.
At the close of their program Rev. Anderson invited the congregation to join in singing “Here Comes Santa Clause”. To everyone’s surprise Mr. and Mrs. Santa Clause appeared! They went through the congregation speaking to everyone.
Santa sat in a chair at the front and let all the children and adults sit on his lap and each told what they wanted for Christmas.
Mrs. Santa Clause and Mrs. Sandra Perritte gave bags of “goodies” to all of the children and then each adult received a mug with a “Christmas tree and Merry Christmas, 2018, Fork Presbyterian Church” on it.
After this time of fellowship everyone went to the dining room to enjoy fired turkey, chicken bog, and much more.
The next Family Night will be January 9 at 7:00 p.m.
Everyone is invited to join us for this time of fellowship.
