The Lake View Woman’s Club meeting was held October 2, at the Lake View Library with 27 members present.
Our program for October was Dillon County volunteer coordinator, Glenda Schleich, with the Pee Dee Coalition against Domestic and Sexual Assault. She talked to the group about the different forms of domestic violence and the protection they provide for the victims.
This is a non-profit organization which uses donation to provide housing and supplies for the victims. She gave the members The Consumable Needs list and they are: household cleaners, trash bags-30 gallon large black, 13 gallon tall kitchen and 8 gallon small, paper towels, toilet tissue, napkins and facial tissue. They also accept all sizes of clothing, coats, pocket books, new under wear for women and children, and personal items. They will pick up the items you have to donate if you call them.
Anyone wishing to make a monetary donation can go to their website, http://www.peedeecoalition.org. Anyone wish to volunteer to help can call the Pee Dee Coalitation at 843-774-0898.
Each member brought an array of consumable supplies which was presented to them at the end of the meeting.
