Carole Lewis Page, 76, of Lake View, SC, passed away at her home on Saturday, October 27, 2018, after a short illness. She was being cared for by her daughter, Addie Page, with assistance from Patriot Hospice Care.
Born on September 1, 1942, she was the fifth of ten children of the late William and Ruth Rogers Lewis of Barnesville, NC.
Carole is survived by her husband of 58 years, Wayne Page and their children, Lisa Page Bell (David) of North Myrtle Beach, John (Spud) Page (Carolyn) of Lake View, Addie Page of the home, and Russell Page (Paula Keith) of Mullins; nine grandchildren, Logan Bell, Mackenzie Page “Bop”, Christopher Enzor, Sydney Bell, Tyler Page, Kellan Page, Blake Page, Sallie Keith Page, and Breckin Page; her sister, Jean Lushis of Cary, NC; three brothers, Richard Lewis (Bobbie) of Barnesville, NC, Charles Lewis (Edna) of Whiteville, NC, and John Lewis (Dorothy) of Fairmont, NC; a brother-in-law Ray Hemby of Little River, SC, a sister-in-law Janet Lewis of Florence, SC, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents, a sister, Nora Ruth Hemby of Little River, SC, and four brothers, William Thomas Lewis of Florence, SC, Mickey Lewis of Las Vegas, NV, Stephen Lewis of Hendersonville, NC, and Robert (Benny) Lewis of Las Vegas, NV.
She was employed by the state of South Carolina spending many years in the school system in Marion County before retiring from the Department of Social Services in Dillon County. She loved to cook, quilt, and work in her yard.
Visitation was held at Cooke Funeral Home on Sunday, October 28th, from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. in Lake View.
Funeral services was held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 29th at First Baptist Church of Lake View with the Rev. Lyn Anderson officiating. A committal service was held at Lake View Cemetery.
