Mrs. Audrey Lane, 68, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, October 23, 2018, with her loving family by her side.
Born in Dillon County, SC, on November 28, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Weldon Woodell and Mary Ethel Freeman Woodell. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christof Latter-day Saints in Marion and was a retired seamstress. She enjoyed quilting and spending time with her family. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter – day Saints, 200 Faulk Road in Marion, SC 29571, with burial following in Bethesda Southern Methodist Church Cemetery in Oak Grove directed by Cooper Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at the funeral home, and any time at the family residence.
Mrs. Audrey is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Deward Lane of their home in Latta; daughter, Tammy Lane of Latta; a grandaughter, Sierra Oxendine and husband Jonathan Oxendine of Dillon and a grandson, Brad Lane and his fiancé Cynthia Slagle of Latta; brothers and sisters, Richard “Jr.” Woodell and wife Mary of Latta, Ethel Leshowitz and husband Howard of Hamlet, NC, Joe Woodell of Hamlet, NC, Wayne Woodell and wife Kim Woodell and Johnny Woodell and wife Debbie all of Latta; also by a host of nieces and nephews; and by her very special friend, Phyllis Wilkerson of Latta. She was preceded in death by her parents listed above; and by a brother, Sam Woodell; and by 3 sisters, Nancy Woodell, Linda Brown and Lora Ivey.
