Help For Veterans, Inc. is holding their second annual health fair for Dillon County veterans and their families on Thursday, October 18th at the City of Dillon Wellness Center.
The day will begin with entertainment provided by Jackie Lockamy from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
The health fair will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
There are a number of vendors including Health Care Partners of SC, Hospice Care of South Carolina, CareSouth Carolina, Dillon Internal Medicine, Dillon County Health Initiative, McLeod Dillon, Robeson Healthcare Corporation, Southeastern Wound Healing Center, ECHO, Florence Visiting Nurses, Pee Dee Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Assault, AARP South Carolina, Humane Society of Dillon County, Woodmen Life, Embrace Hospice, Southeastern Community Health Services, Trinity Behavioral Care, Dillon Community Pharmacy, Quaker House Of Fayetteville, Help For Veterans, Inc., Harvest Hope, S.C. Vocational Rehabilitation, Anderson Brothers Bank, Dillon County DSS, City of Dillon Wellness Center, The Dillon Herald, and AJM Healthcare.
Various services will be offered including blood pressure screenings, blood/glucose screenings, total cholesterol screenings, and BMI screenings with same day results. Various informational pamphlets and brochures and samples will be available.
Various door prizes will be given away throughout the health fair including free basic oil changes; gift cards from various businesses; one large dinner box from a local pizza place, Dillon; oil changes; a homecooked lasagna dinner for four with salad and garlic bread, and much more.
A free eat-in only lunch will be served for the veterans and their families as well as vendors at the event.
Dillon County veterans and their families are invited to come out and enjoy this great event.
The City of Dillon Wellness Center is located at 1647 Commerce Drive, Dillon.
