Services for Nellie Smith Humphrey were held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation were held 2:00-3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Humphrey, 88, died Friday, September 14, 2018 at her residence.
Born in Marion County, SC, June 4, 1930, she was the daughter of the late John Smith and Betsy Maynor Smith. She attended Dillon Congregational Church.
Survivors include her children, Shirley H. Adams (Mack) of Hamer, SC; Ann H. Lee (Billy) of Hamer, Betty H. Young of Dillon, SC, Ronnie Humphrey (Donna) of Maxton, NC, Christine H. Bailey (Earl) of Sellers, SC, Keith “Bo” Humphrey of Latta, SC, John “Bubba” Humphrey (Jeanette) of Latta, SC, Jack Humphrey of Marion, SC, Linda H. Tobias (Michael) of Fork, SC, and Johnny Humphrey (Lisa) of Sellers, SC; 28 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; sisters, Loubertha “Babe” Smith Huggins of Dillon, SC, and Retha Smith Radford of Alabama; half brother, Jim Humphrey; half-sister, Fannie Lee Humphrey.
Mrs. Humphrey was preceded in death by her husband, Boyd Humphrey; and a daughter, Ernestine Humphrey; half-brothers, Wade and Clyde Humphrey.
