Dorothy “Dot” Jean Black entered into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Friday, September 21, 2018 at Pruitt Health Care.
Services were held 3:00 p.m. Monday, September 24, 2018 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Magnolia Cemetery. Visitation was held 2:00-3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Born April 29, 1938 she was the daughter of the late Bennie and Evelyn Hyatt. She was a loving, caring mother and widow of Ray Black, Sr.
She was a cosmetologist for over fifty years and enjoyed every minute of it.
She is survived by a son, Ray Black, Jr. (Sharon) of Dillon; daughters, Judy Rae Black and Debra Jean Rouse (Randy) of Latta; three grandchildren, Christopher Rouse (Jodi) Phillip Rouse and Samantha Black; two great-grandchildren, Chloe and Nathan Rouse; and special sister-in-law, Maxine Hayes.
She was predeceased by a brother, Carl Hyatt, and a great-grandson, James Rouse.
