A truck from Missouri arrived in Dillon County on Thursday full of goods that were delivered to Helping Hands food pantry and the Dillon County Animal Shelter. Jimmy Southern, the son of Jan Austin of Dillon, and a driver brought the supplies from Caruthersville, Missouri. Southern organized the relief effort and parked a trailer at his church, Eastwood Memorial Methodist Church. His effort was advertised on social media and announced at his church. He was overwhelmed at all that was donated as were the Dillon County recipients.
