Latta Baptist Church has been involved in helping those in need during the aftermath of Hurricane Florence.
Derek Lambert, pastor of First Baptist Church of Sebring, Florida contacted a friend of his, Clay Smith, pastor of Alice Drive Baptist in Sumter about wanting to help hurricane victims. Clay called Rob Pierce at Latta Baptist, and connected him with Lambert. The church in Florida sent money to Latta Baptist to be used for Ministry Health Kits. The kits include basic items like a towel, soap, shampoo, etc. Some kits were given out at the shelter in Dillon and others are being distributed through the S.C. Baptist Convention Disaster Relief teams. Pictured are volunteers assembling the kits at Latta Baptist. (Contributed Photos)
