The Latta Vikings varsity football team scored 36 points in the first quarter and added 6 points in the second quarter to hand Creek Bridge a 42-6 loss in Latta on Friday, September 7.
Creek Bridge’s lone score came in the fourth quarter.
Latta’s quarterback, Dylan Brewer completed 8 of 10 passes for 167 yards and 4 touchdowns. Brewer also picked up 28 yards on 4 carries.
Jamario Taylor completed 2 of 2 passes for 11 yards for the Vikings. Taylor also scampered 42 yards for a touchdown plus he also had a tackle to his credit.
Latta’s Tysean Johnson rushed for 71 yards on 8 carries.
Darius McRae scored 3 touchdowns on 3 receptions for 35 yards for the Vikings. Trey Anderson placed 6 points on the scoreboard on a 60-yard reception while Deonte Stanley caught 3 passes for 64 yards. Stanley also had a tackle in the game.
J R McClam picked up 8 yards on a reception plus he made 2 tackles for Latta.
Rodney Hayes was on the receiving end of a 7-yard pass for the Vikings.
Latta’s Jay Bailey and Tommy Aiken each had 6 tackles Jordan McRae added 4 tackles and 1 FF while Chandler Matthews had 4 tackles. Matt Clark, Bryce McRae, Dashad Smith, Josh Williams, and Jacob Roberts each had 3 tackles.
Nate Lee, A J Herring, Peyton Benson, Javier Myers, and Caleb Bailey each added 2 tackles for the Vikings.
Zach Jones, Brandon Page, and Jamison McAllister each recorded a tackle for Latta.
Latta will host Kingstree Friday, September 14, at 7:30 p.m.
