Services for Clinton Junior Savage will be held 3:30 p.m. Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Latta Church of God. Burial with military honors will be held in Greenlawn Cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Cooper Funeral Home.
Mr. Savage, 81, went to be with his Lord & Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, September 16, 2018.
Born in Garret County, Maryland, May 24, 1937, he was the son of the late Stanley Gilbert Savage and Grace Keefer Savage. He was a member of Latta Church of God and also the Men’s Bible Class. Clint was a U.S. Army Veteran, and was a meat cutter and later the Market Manager at the Winn Dixie for 33 years, and he also worked at Carl’s (K.J.’s).
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Billie Kate Savage of Dillon; sons, Donald Savage of Florida, and Dale Clinton Savage of Dillon; daughters, Sheri Savage of Dillon, and Martha Zakkary of Elgin, SC; grandchildren, Cassie, Yasmeen, Alissa, Nisreen, Stacy, Jarred, Amber, Ricky, and Hiram; great-grandchild, Jess; brother, Kenneth Savage; sisters, Geraldine Wolf, Thelma Bowers, and Carolyn Cogley; host of nieces and nephews.
Clint was preceded in death by his parents; his grandson, Cody Savage; brothers, Ralph Savage, and Clifford Savage; and sister, Betty Cooper.
