Leah Caroline Stephens will present a Senior Music Recital on Sunday, June 10 at 3 o’clock p.m. in the sanctuary of Main Street United Methodist Church with a reception to follow in Asbury Hall. Piano, vocal, and organ selections by Johann Sebastien Bach, Johann Friedrich, Franz Burgmüller, Carl Bohm, Leonard Cohen, Geron and Becky Davis, Charles Gounod, Mark A. Miller, William O. Munn, Twila Paris, James H. Rogers, Robert D. Vandall, and Darlene Zschech will be presented.
Leah is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert (Bob and Gwyn) Stephens, Jr. and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert (Skeet and Hilda) Stephens, Mr. Gerald Arnette and the late Mrs. Alexiana (“Ting”) Arnette.

Leah is a graduate of the Dillon Christian School, Class of 2018, where she was a member of the Anchor Club, the Beta Club, the Yearbook Staff, and played Varsity Softball for four years lettering in this sport.
Leah was a cheerleader her Senior Year. Leah also played Dixie Youth Recreational Softball and her team won the State Championship in 2017 and played in the World Series in Louisiana.
Leah has studied piano, voice, and organ with Robin Thompson for the past nine years, playing and singing in recitals, church services, Dillon County Theatre productions, Christmas Music at McLeod Hospital programs, and at Dillon Christian School events. Leah has played in the South Carolina Independent School Association (SCISA) Musical Auditions and received Gold Medals for her performance.
Leah has played in the Piano Festival sponsored by the Florence Independent Music Teachers Association (FIMTA) for the past nine years always earning the top rating of Superior and being chosen for the Honors Recital numerous times.

Leah has earned the Fifteen, Thirty, and Forty-Five Point Gold Cup Awards offered by the FIMTA.
Leah plans to continue her education at Francis Marion University in the fall pursuing a degree in Nursing.
