Mr. Ernest Turner, Jr., 69, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 6, 2018 at Morrison Manor in Laurinburg, NC after an illness.
Born in Scotland County, on July 10, 1948, he was the loving son of Ernest Turner Sr. and Violet Elliott Turner. He attended Pembroke State College where he studied Art and retired from Dixiana Mills as a Carpet Dyer. He was a member of Dillon First Baptist Church and attended New Life Assembly in Dillon. He will be remembered as a loving son, husband, father, grandfather and friend.
A Service to Celebrate Ernest’s life were held 3:00 p.m. on Monday, April 9, 2018 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Pastor Jimmy Owens. Visitation followed the service at the funeral home.
He is survived by his parents, Ernest Turner, Sr. and Violet Turner of Dillon; his wife, Kay Rogers Turner of their home in Rowland, NC; sons, Marty (Lisa) Turner of Conway, Brookes (Keri) Turner of Lugoff, SC, John Turner and Holden Turner both of Rowland, NC; brother, Ronnie (Beryl) Turner of Florida; sisters, Patricia Turner Johnson of Conway and Tammy Turner Macomson of Durham, NC; four grandsons, Clayton, Matthew, Adam and Cannon Turner; and by a special friend, Ronnie Bracey.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations are suggested to: Scotland Regional Hospice, 610 Lauchwood Drive, Laurinburg, NC 28353.
