Mount Calvary Baptist Church held the monthly meeting for Brotherhood, WMU, and BYU on Monday, April 9, at 7:00 p.m., at the Family Life Center.

After a delicious meal and fellowship, each group dispersed to the proper locations.
Brotherhood Director Joe Price welcomed everyone and called on someone for special prayer.
He also reminded the group of the Royal Ambassadors, a group sponsored by the Brotherhood.
Director Price gave a brief introduction of our guest speaker, Benny Cooper, as he really needed no introduction.
Mr. Cooper gave an inspiring message based on Jeremiah 18. God does for us what He did for the Israelites.
God’s grace reminds us that God can form us and make us into what He wants us to be. God can start all over.
On this side of Heaven, we can never know how Jesus could endure sin for all of us.
Mr. Cooper informed the group of a small woman, Mary Dameron, who resided in the Hollers of West Virginia. This poor woman did so much for the “Christmas Shoe Box”. At one point in her life, she went through the Hollers of West Virginia and collected over 6,000 shoe boxes. She was invited by Franklin Graham to travel to Bosnia where she helped hand out these boxes to the poor children in Bosnia. Prior to this she was invited to the White House. She was accompanied by Franklin Graham. While at the White House, Mary Dameron asked the President to fill a “shoe box”, and he gladly did so. While there in 1995, she presented President Clinton and his wife with a book, THE MIRACLE OF THE SHOE BOX written by Franklin Graham.
This very bold lady prayed for the President while she was with him.
This poor lady who had so little gave so much to so many.
While in Bosnia, she was able to relate to the children of Bosnia who were so poor, dirty, and smelled so bad. She would love on these children as no one else could.
Mary’s ability to get along with all of those children was because she could relate to them. As a child she was hungry and cold.
God molded her and made a beautiful vessel of her.
God’s grace, mercy, and great love has been given to all of us.
God will make us individuals who He can love.
You are invited to join us for our next meeting on Monday, May 7, for a delicious meal, fellowship, and the Word.
