The Dillon Christian School Warriors varsity softball team dropped a 11-1 game in 5 innings in Lake City on Thursday, February 22.
Carolina Academy took a 4-0 lead after 2 innings. The Bobcats added 2 runs in the bottom of the fourth and 5 runs in the bottom of the fifth inning.
Carolina Academy managed 7 hits and committed 3 errors in the game.
The Warriors’ lone run came in the top of the fifth inning.
The Warriors were guilty of 4 errors in the game.
Gracyn Bradley pitched 3 and 2/3 innings and allowed only 1 hit and struck out 1 for the win.
Branch was credited with the loss for the Warriors. She pitched 4 and 2/3 innings and allowed 7 hits, walked 8, allowed 11 runs of which 6 were earned, and struck out 1.
Harley Welch led the Bobcats with 3 hits including a double and 2 rbi in 3 trips to the plate. Madison Lee had a single, a triple, and a rbi in 3 at-bats.
The Dillon Christian School Warriors will travel to Florence Christian on Tuesday, February 27, at 6:00 p.m.
