The Dillon Christian School Warriors dropped a close 2-1 decision to Carolina Academy in varsity baseball action in a game played in Lake City on Thursday, February 22.
Blake McFadden pitched the entire7-inning game and allowed 1 earned run, 3 hits, and struck out 10.
McFadden also connected for a 2 rbi-hit at the plate. Austin Brown also connected for a double in 2 trips to the plate.
Carolina Academy picked up 2 runs in the bottom of the first inning that would prove to be all the runs needed for the win while holding the Dillon Christian School Warriors to a lone run in the top of the seventh inning off a hit by Barnes Causey who scored on a single by Gage Hunt.
Causey connected for a single and a double in the game.
Jared Darmon pitched the entire game for the Warriors. The Warriors committed 3 errors in the game while Carolina Academy was not guilty of any errors.
The Dillon Christian School Warriors will play at Florence Christian today, Tuesday, February 27, at 7:00 p.m.
