The Dillon Lady Wildcats cruised to a 48-23 win over Lake City in varsity basketball action in a game played on Tuesday, January 30, in Dillon.
After 3 periods of play Dillon held a commanding 40-15 lead over Lake City.
Dillon’s Jykya Bell connected for a game-high 21 points.
Chyna Pouncey hit for 8 points in the win. JaRhonda McCrimmon and Deanna Lane each placed 5 points on the scoreboard. A’Doshia Graves hit for 4 points for the Lady Wildcats. Maleah Carter and Shaniya Page each garnered 2 points while Jayla Goodwin picked up a point on a free throw.
The Dillon Wildcats committed only 1 foul in the second half while Lake City was guilty of 7.
Elantryria Moore led Lake City in scoring with 6 points. Joycelyn Epps and Catelynn Owens each connected for 4 points. Tierra Burgess hit for 3 points. Alexis Brayboy, Parish Montgomery, and Shakniah Burgess each garnered 2 points in the game.
Dillon will travel to Georgetown on Friday, February 2.
