Services for John Franklin Whittemore will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment with full military honors will be held at Evergreen Cemetery Mausoleum.
Mr. Whittemore, 74, died Monday, January 1, 2018 at his residence.
Born in Mullins, SC, December 29, 1943, he was the son of the late John Reginald Whittemore and Ida Mae Haselden Whittemore. He was a retired U.S. Air Force Veteran and also served in the U.S. Army, and was a member of Mt. Hebron in Loris.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Whittemore of Loris; son, Thom (Tim) Whittemore of Portland, Oregon; daughter, Debra Whittemore of Dillon; step-children, Tracey (Rick) Jordan of Conway, Ray (Pat) Tyler of Loris, and Private Ian Brown of Fort Hood, TX; sisters, Jean Cook and Dale Gaddy, both of Dillon; 2 step-grandchildren; 8 step-great-grandchildren.
Mr. Whittemore was preceded in death by his first wife, Doris Whittemore.
