LATTA – Services for Carlisle Miller were held Sunday, January 7, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. in Kannaday Funeral Home Chapel in Latta with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation was held Saturday, January 6, 2018 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. The family will receive visitors at other times at the home.
Carlisle, age 81, went to be with his Heavenly Father, January 2nd 2018. He was the son of the late Frank and Bertha Miller Hunt. He was raised in Latta. Carlisle loved gardening and Nascar. Everyone always bragged on how beautiful his home was always manicured. He was a hardworking man, always making sure his family was provided for. Carlisle worked for Wellman Industries having retired after 22 years of service. He had several other jobs, having been a jam up shade tree mechanic. He also worked with Kannaday Funeral Home and Dixiana Mills.
Survivors Include his wife of 62 years and caregiver, Mary Frances Miller of the home; sons, Curt Miller (Angie) of Mullins and Ralph Miller (Jacquetta) of Apache, Oklahoma; his daughter and caregiver, Toni Turbeville (Roy McCall) of the home; daughter, Billie Jo Wiggins (Jay Small) also of Latta; a special sister and brother-in-law and caregivers, Eunice and Shelton Campbell of Latta; other sisters, Annie Ruth and Larry Brigman of Dillon, Betty Jean and Jackie Johnson of Mullins; a brother, Gene Hunt of Dillon; 10 grandchildren including his special granddaughter and caregiver, Maddy Wiggins; 7 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and his best friends, Teenie and Rita Martin of Latta.
Carlisle was preceded in death by his parents listed above, aloving son, Terry Michael Miller; a sister, Rachel Campbell; and a brother, William Hunt.
