Mr. Alsworth Carter, 67, died Saturday, December 2, 2017 from injuries sustained in an accident.
Born in Dillon County, SC, on December 17, 2017, he was the son of the late Jack “Hot Dog” Carter and Luvenia Herring Carter. He was an avid football and NASCAR fan and his favorite driver was Matt Kenseth #17.
He enjoyed talking and making friends, riding his bicycle, yard work, and was a self-employed handyman.
He is survived by his daughter, Tina Cook of Blenheim; sisters, Linda (Ashton) Berry of Latta, Nancy Carter of Dillon, Peggy (Craig) Brown of Dillon, Carolyn (Jessie) Tyndall of Dillon and Wanda (James) Scott of Oakland, SC; brother, Truman (Alma) Carter of Dillon; a brother-in-law, Billy Davis of Lake View; and by 5 grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2017 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Mr. Benny Cooper. Visitation will follow immediately after the service.
Mr. Carter was preceded in death by his parents listed above; his son, Stevie Cook; sisters, Mary Jane Carter and Jackie Davis.
