The Lake View Wild Gators returned home Tuesday evening, December 5, after losing 49-37 to Pee Dee Academy in Mullins.
Lake View could not get going in the first period of play and found themselves down by 12 points. Pee Dee Academy outscored Lake View 13-11 in the second period of play and found themselves with a 14-point lead at halftime.
In the third period of play Pee Dee scored 20 points while holding Lake View to 10 points.
The Wild Gators managed to place 14 points on the scoreboard in the fourth period while holding Pee Dee Academy to 2 points.
Olivia McDaniel scored 13 points for the Wild Gators while Waters added 12. McNeil hit for 6 and M. Wheeler managed 3 points while T. Wheeler and Swat each garnered 2 points.
Anna Grace Johnson connected for 14 points to lead Pee Dee Academy in scoring. Meg Martin connected for 10 points while Carter had 9. L. Martin connected for 6, and Caulder and Brown each had 4. L. Johnson garnered 2 points.
Lake View will travel to South Robeson tonight, December 7, at 6:00 p.m.

The Lake View Wild Gators boys varsity basketball team suffered a 55-44 loss to Pee Dee Academy on Tuesday, December 5, in Mullins.
The Wild Gators held a slim 1-point lead, 6-5, after the first period of play.
At halftime Pee Dee Academy had a 6-point lead.
In the third period each team scored 13 points.
In the final period of play, Pee Dee Academy scored 19 points while holding Lake View to 14 points.
Reaves led the scoring for the Wild Gators with 15 points while Tristan Goodman added 10. Blue and Fleming each connected for 4 points while Waters added 3. Bethea, Sowell, Gilchrist, and Nichols each had 2 points in the game.
A.J. Vault led Pee Dee Academy with 23 points. Reese Webster added 12 while Jake Lane connected for 10 points. Martin added 8, and Carter had 2.
The Lake View Wild Gators will travel to South Robeson tonight (Thursday, December 7).
