The Dillon Wildcats boys varsity basketball team dropped one 75-57 to Mullins on Wednesday, Dec. 6, in Mullins.
The first period of play ended with each team scoring 17 points.
However, Mullins outscored Dillon 17-2 in the second period, and Dillon was not able to overcome the deficit.
Mullins pumped in 23 points in the third period while holding Dillon to 19 points. The Wildcats outscored Mullins in the final period of play 19-18.
Daizon Alford led Dillon with 11 points followed by Ty’Quaris Rogers with 10 and Justin Green with 9. Damari Ladson added 5 while Timmy Jeong and Corrain Wright each added 3 points. Ty’Quan Porter and George Thompson each garnered a point.
The Auctioneers were led by C.J. Gilchrist with 27 points followed by Jordan Brantley with 17. Leron Davis added 11, and An. Legette hit for 8 points while Sanvil and Roberts each had 3 points. Gordon and Pressley each contributed 2 points.
Dillon will travel to Bennettsville on on Thursday, Dec. 14, to play Marlboro County.
