Memorial services for Kay Britt will be held 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.
Kay, 71, died Monday, October 30, 2017 at her residence.
Born in Wilmington, NC, March 27, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Thurston Harper and Marie Scott Harper. She was a member of Dillon Church of God, and the Hour of Power Sunday school class, and was the former Manager of Sallie’s Beauty Supply. She loved Christmas, shopping, buying clothes, B.C.’s. and Coca Cola’s. She enjoyed sewing and making Barbie Dolls with her granddaughter.
Survivors include her husband of 46 1/2 years, Jack Britt of Dillon; daughters, Heidi Neal (Mark) of Watkinsville, GA, and Karen Strong (Chris) of Dillon; son, Joe Matthews (Tasha) of Little Rock; sisters, Nancy English (Mackie) and Juanita Bethea, both of Dillon; brother, Ronnie Harper (Dottie) of Dillon; 8 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
Kay was preceded in death by her sisters, Pat Baysinger, Dot Morgan, and Judy Marie Hyatt; and her brother, Dennis Harper.
