Services for James Edward “Rock” Campbell will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Cooper Funeral Home.
Mr. Campbell, 64, died Sunday, October 1, 2017 at the Regency Hospital in Florence.
Born in Dillon County, SC, October 28, 1952, he was the son of the late Dewey Wesley Campbell and Dorothy Daniels Campbell. He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church where he was the Superintendent, and was employed by Clemson Pee Dee Research Center.
Survivors include his wife, Dianne Campbell of Latta; daughters, Gail Graham (Ashby Jones) of Dillon, Lynn (Roger) Quick of Loris, and Denease (Ronald) Chestnut of Dillon; three grandchildren, Shannon Graham and Thomas Graham of Lumberton, NC, and Tiffani Quick of Loris; three great-grandchildren; special niece, April Lattymer of Latta; sister, Angie Rogers of Latta; brothers, Dewey “Bob” Campbell (Denise) of Rowland, NC, Jerry Campbell, and Timmy (Rhonda) Campbell both of Latta.
Mr. Campbell was preceded in death by his parents; and his nephew, Lee Lattymer.
