The Dillon County Sheriff’s Office and Coroner’s Office are investigating a death that occurred on Saturday on Melon Drive in Dillon, according to Captain Cliff Arnette of the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office. Dillon County Coroner Donnie Grimsley identifies the victim as Philip Miles, age 40, originally from Dillon County. He said he died from a gunshot wound. The Dillon County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by SLED Crime Scene.
