A man who was involved in a shooting of himself and another woman on Beaufort Street in Dillon on Wednesday night died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to Dillon County Coroner Donnie Grimsley.
Grimsley identified the man as Tony Allen Davis, age 38, of Dillon.
Dillon City Police Chief David Lane said information obtained during the investigation of the incident indicates that the man shot a woman and then turned the gun on himself. The woman was hospitalized at the time of this report.
The City of Dillon Police Department and the Dillon County Coroner’s Office are investigating the incident.
