James “Bobie” Washington won a special election for the Dillon City Council District One seat on Tuesday, June 14. Washington received 151 votes (which included 112 absentee votes) while Billy “Coach” Odom received 20 votes (which included 6 absentee votes) and Jerry McLain received 6 votes (which included no absentee votes).
