The Dillon County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by the Latta Police Department in May to investigate a complaint that had been to them against a Town of Latta employee.
The father of the victim filed an incident report with the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office stating the subject made unwanted advances towards his 16-year-old daughter and as a result of an investigation by the Sheriff’s Office, Curt Miller, age 59, was charged with Assault and Battery 3rd Degree in reference to the incident that occurred on May 24, 2017. Curt Miller turned himself in to authorities on Monday, June 12, 2017.
The Dillon County Sheriff’s Office Office investigated the case at the request of the Town of Latta due to a conflict of interest.
