Martha Jane Stephens went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, March 22, 2017. Jane was born in Mullins, S.C. on January 5, 1962, the daughter of Mary Mac Carmichael Stephens and the late Craig Stephens. She attended Avalon Academy and graduated from Francis Marion University. Jane worked for the S.C. Department of Probation and Parole. She enjoyed reading and was especially talented with arts and crafts. Her sense of humor and quick wit will forever be remembered. She was a member of the Dillon First Presbyterian Church. Jane is survived by her mother, Mary C. Stephens of Dillon and brothers Edwin Stephens (Harriett), Michael Stephens (Robin), and Neal Stephens (Jamie Sue). She is also survived by her husband Donald Fisher.
Graveside services will be conducted Friday, March 24, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in Dillon. Following the service, the family will receive friends at the home of her mother at 527 Johnson Drive. Memorials may be made to the Dillon Camp of Gideons, Box 111, Dillon, S.C. 29536. Kannaday Funeral Home of Dillon is assisting the family.
