Lake View’s Nick Collins pitched the complete 7-inning game and shut out Hannah Pamplico 3-0 in varsity baseball action played in Pamplico on Tuesday, March 28.
Collins allowed only 3 hits, walked 2, and struck out 6 in the win.
Mason Hicks was tagged with the loss. He also pitched 7 innings, allowed 7 hits, 3 runs of which 1 was earned, walked 2, and struck out 4.
The Wild Gators managed to place a run on the scoreboard in the top of the third inning and added 2 more runs in the top of the seventh inning.
Deante Bridgett and Stone Spivey each connected for 2 hits in 3 at-bats for Lake View.
Lake View committed 1 error, and Hannah Pamplico committed 2 in the game.
Lake View is 8-2 for the season.
Lake View will travel to Green Sea on Friday, March 31, for a 5:30 p.m. game.
