Lake View Boys
The Hemingway Tigers boys varsity basketball team defeated the Lake View Wild Gators 75-48 in a game played Friday, January 27, in Lake View.
The Lake View Wild Gators led 18-9 after the first period and only trailed by 1 point at the half.  However, the Hemingway offensive performance in the third period proved too much for Lake View as Hemingway outscored Lake View 24-6.  In the fourth period Hemingway garnered 23 points to Lake View’s 15.
The Tigers were led by Darius Williams with 13 points while JaQuan Julious connected for 12. Taylor added 9, and Skinner hit for 8 points. Bryant garnered 6 points, and Pressley hit for 5 points. T. Lewis scored 4 points, and Singletary and C. Lewis each hit for 3 points. Parker also connected for 2 points.
Lake View’s Darius Ford led all scorers with 22 points while Duane Nichols hit for 11 points. Deonte Roberts tacked on 10 points while Tyshawn McDaniel and James Inman each added another 2 points. Emmanuel Williams also hit for 1 point.
Lake View will travel to East Clarendon today (Tuesday, January 31) at 7:30 p.m.

Lady Vikings
The Marion Lady Swamp Foxes handed the Latta Vikings a 47-36 loss in varsity basketball played in Marion on Friday, January 27..
Ariaher Morrisey scored 21 points to lead Marion in the win. Godbolt added 7 while Britt and Davis each connected for 6 points for Marion. Williams garnered 4 points while Waiters hit for 2. Bethea also contributed 1 point.
Riana Green scored a game-high 23 for the Latta Lady Vikings while Rayne Nolan added 6 and Arica Gandy connected for 4 points. DaKiasha Green scored 2 points for Latta, and James added another point.
Latta will host Andrews today (Tuesday, January 31) at 6:00 p.m.

Wildcats
The Dillon Wildcats defeated Aynor 61-29 in varsity basketball action played in Dillon on Friday, January 27.
Dillon controlled the game from the opening tip-off until the final buzzer sounded.
Dillon led 20-2 after the first period of play and 35-6 at halftime.
Twelve Dillon players scored in the game led by Darius Boatwright with 12 points followed by La’Jairus Jacobs  with 8. Raheem McClam and Javier Brookins each connected for 6 points. Emmanuel Green hit for 5 points while Keenan Norman, Corrain Wright, and Rodney Owens added 4 points each. RaKeem Flecher garnered 3 points, and Ty’Quan Porter and Ty’Quaries Rogers each got 2 points.
The Dillon Wildcats will travel to Lake City today (Tuesday, January 31) while tied for first place in the region.

Lady Wildcats
The Dillon Lady Wildcats defeated Aynor 86-3 in a varsity basketball game played in Dillon on Friday, January 27.
Dillon controlled the opening tip-off and from there took control of the game.
Dillon’s #10 Khamele Manning scored a game-high 18 points to lead the ‘Cats in this lopsided victory.
Kyia Bell added 16 points while Amanie Harley also connected for 14 points.
